He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Saxon and Blanche Ophelia Smith Saxon; and his brother Larry Saxon. He is survived by: his sons, Randy Saxon (Lynn) of Dewy Rose and Gary Saxon of Elberton; his grandchildren, Drew Saxon of Dewy Rose and Ashley Maxwell of Arnoldsville; and his close friend Charles "Mountain Man" Williams of Oglethorpe County.
