She was predeceased by: her father Ralph Mathews; her husband Wayne King of Carlton; her mother Annie Mae Aaron Mathews; her parents-in-law, Bob and Frances King; her granddaughter Madison King; and her brother Charles Mathews.

She is survived by: her son Steven King (Tracey); her grandchildren, Bryson and Kamryn King of Winterville; her son Matt King (Kendra) of Watkinsville; her granddaughter Karen Bufford (Brett); her great grandchildren, Hudson, Mattie Grace of Watkinsville and Cody King; her brother Danny Matthews of Lexington; Landon, Ollie Frances and Jeb King of Lexington.

She enjoyed charity work, serving the Oglethorpe County Community Christmas for many years, and was very involved in their church, Lighthouse Methodist Church in Lexington.
