She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smathers and Nannabeth Preas Smathers; her husband Virgil Hartley; and her brother Charles Smathers. She is survived by: her children, Elisabeth Smith (Dennis) and John Hartley (Margie); her grandchildren, Stephen, Nathan and Sarah; and her great grandchildren, River and Sammy.
