It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Harper of Lilburn, Georgia, born in Madison, Georgia, who passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Archie Frank Harper and Annie Lois Knight Harper; his brothers, Ralph Harper and Otis Harper; and his parents-in-law, George and Joann Staples.

He is survived by : his wife Shelia Staples Harper; his son Richard "Lee" Harper (Mary Leigh); his grandchildren, Emma of Lawrenceville, GA, Ricky of Lawrenceville, GA, Rosemary of Lawrenceville, GA and Timothy of Lawrenceville, GA; his daughter Sherri Harper Furlong (Brian); his grandchildren, Ethan and Ella of Suwanee, GA; his siblings, William Harper (Joyce) of Covington, GA, Jimmy Harper of Covington, GA, Junior Harper (Louise) of Stone Mountain, GA and Sara McChesny; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Harper of Covington, GA and Starla Littleton (Mike) of Lilburn, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
