It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Thomas Raines (Lilburn, Georgia), who passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Mamie Ruth Raines; and his wife Gailya Rentz Raines. He is survived by: his children, Sheryl McHugh (Jimmy) of Monroe, Tom Raines, Jr. of Dacula and Sandra Martino (Chuck) of Virginia; and his parents-in-law, Wanda Palmer (Danny) of Maryland and Kline Rentz (Lana) of Louisiana. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Flowers may be sent to Bill Head Funeral Home in Tucker, Georgia or donations may be made to Harmony Grove UMC, 50 Harmony Grove Road, Lilburn, Georgia 30047.

“Tom Raines was one of the finest gentlemen i have ever known. November 1975 he and Larry Mericer gave me a part time job reading gas meters. I was with AGL for 19years and 7 months. I am so sorry for you children and those Grands. Yawl will always remember him but just know he is having a Reunion with his loved ones in Heaven. Make your preparations now so that you can have that reunion too. I never saw him much after he retired, we would run into each other at the grocery. REST IN PEACE TOM”
