She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Sanders Burgess and Lillie Kathleen Martin Burgess; and her siblings, Marvin Burgess, Jimmy Burgess, Robert Burgess, Edwin Burgess, Ernestine Burgess, Mary Katherine and Rosa Lee Burgess Ashmore.

She is survived by : her nieces and nephews, Melvin Burgess, Ricky Ashmore, Phil Ashmore, Bobby Burgess, John Burgess, David Burgess, Betty Burgess Beard, Tina Ashmore McCombs, Michelle Burgess, Tammy Burgess Wright and Lisa Burgess Safrit; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Clement and Shirley Burgess.
