It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Pearl Hamp (Lincolnton, Georgia), who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Joe Nathan Hawes and Lois Rebecca Norman Hawes; her parents, Joe Nathan Hawes and Lois Rebecca Norman Hawes; and her siblings, Jess Hawes, Clara Hawes Belcher, Herman Hawes, Helen Hawes Sutton, Mary Hawes Jones, Joe Otis Hawes, Peyton Hawes, Lonnie Hawes, Melba Hawes Nunally and Arlesia Verman Hawes.
She is survived by: her children, Leverta H. Elam (Harvey) of Lincolnton, Georgia, Charles A. Hamp (Barbara) of North Augusta, Lois H. Trumpler (Isaiah) of Augusta and Terry H. Simpkins (David) of Hephzibah, Georgia; and her cousins, Dr. Alcye Hawes and Ida Johnson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
