He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Prescott and Alva Prescott; and his siblings, Randolph Prescott and Hazel Dewberry. He is survived by: his wife Lavonia Prescott; and his children, Pam Hutto, Janet Kelley (George), James Prescott Jr. and Lisa Munro. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Morningside Baptist Church (483 Elm St, Lincolnton, GA 30817). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
