He is survived by: his children, Russell Gibbs (Betty), Robert Collins, Steven Gibbs (Melissa), Michael Gibbs and Delane Wade (Kevin) of Lincolnton; his sister Sadie Powell of Blythe; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Gibbs, Brandon Gibbs, Megan Bailey, Nicholas Wade, Benjamin Wade, Heather Wengrow, Bryan Gibbs, Christopher Gibbs, Kayla Nelson, Russell Whisnant and Destiny Whisnant. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
