She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh B. Thurmond and Addie Florence Raffini Thurmond; her husband Gary Clinton Cox; and her brothers, Bennie Thurmond, Clark Thurmond and Frank Thurmond.
She is survived by : her brother Billy Thurmond of Hartwell; her sisters-in-law, Rachel Thurmond of Lincolnton and Agnes Thurmond of Lincolnton; her uncle Milton Raffini; and her close friend George Turner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
