He was predeceased by: his parents, Welmon Tate and Lucy L. Tate; and his brother Clyde Tate, Sr. (Mamie). He is survived by: his sister Geraldean Watts (Charlie); his caregiver Cynthia Tate; his niece Carol A. Stephens; his nephews, Christopher Tate, Clyde Tate, Jr., Clarence Watts (Beverly) and Creg Watts (Robin); his great-nephews, Stacy McClendon (Rique) and Brenston Hearst; his great-niece Kyrsten Watts; his cousin Randy Andrews; Caleb Binns, Steven Binns and Tracy Stephens, Jr.. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
