She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Fairchild and Evaline Weir Fairchild of Dorset, OH.; her husband Linton G. Strickland; the father of her children William Dean; her sons, Dan Dean and Chuck Dean; her stepson Dennis Strickland; her granddaughter Candy Clines; her great grandchildren, Jarret Higgins and Kaylon Higgins; and her sister Josephine Holley.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Robertson, Richard Dean (Becky), Tom Dean (Cindy) and Mike Dean; her stepchildren, David Strickland, Pamela Nealy and Patricia Abernathy; and her siblings, Doris Meckley (Larry), Margaret Ketchem and Larry Fairchild. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lindale (9 Park Ave SE, Lindale, GA 30147). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
