He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert and Bertha Mae Lackey Wells; and his siblings, Emory, Daniel, Dennard, Larry, Joseph, Alice, Ruth, Jewel, Betty and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Howell Wells; his daughter Stacy; his son-in-law Otis Ingram; his sons, Keith (Loni Wells) and Kevin (Julie Wells); his granddaughters, Jennifer Ingram, Kristin Johnson (Greer), Megan McVay (Sean), Laura Wells and Joy Wells; and his great grandchild Harper Ingram. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
