With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Alexander Sr. of Lithonia, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gilbert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gilbert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gilbert leaves behind.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Willie A. Watkins Riverdale Chapel (6580 Church St, Riverdale, GA 30274). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Bible Church (2283 Baker Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318).
The family kindly asks that in lieu of planting a tree, monetary donations either be made directly to the family or the American Cancer Society/Atlanta*.
