We announce the death of Ann Sorrow of Lizella, Georgia, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 85. Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anthony and Willie Mae Fincher Norrell; her daughter Anna Laura Sorrow; her grandchildren, Maria Sorrow and Russell Hammock; and her siblings, Cecil Norrell, Sam Norrell, Willie James Norrell and Robert Norrell.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Land (Wayne) of Roberta, Tommy Sorrow (Christy) of Lizella and Wesley Sorrow of Roberta, Georgia; and her siblings, Wayne Norrell (Barbara) of Opelika, Oneida Newell of Macon, Faye Childs of Cochran and Jake Norrell (Sandra) of Greenville, Alabama. She is also survived by her many grandchildren; her multiple great-grandchildren and multiple great-great-grandchildren.
