We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, at the age of 92, Jimmy Hal Hicks Sr. of Lizella, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Orris Hicks and Sara Marshall Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Jarriel Hicks; his children, Jimmy Hal Hicks Jr. (Sherri) and Jenny Lynn Odom; his brother Ricky Hicks (Wynelle); his grandchildren, Heather Lockhart (Joe) and Jake Hicks; his great grandchildren, Ava and Lexi Lockhart; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Williams (Glenn) and Martha Blair (Donald). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lizella United Methodist Church (2920 S Lizella Rd, Lizella, GA 31052). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lizella Methodist Church (2920 S Lizella Rd, Lizella, GA 31052).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lizella Methodist Church.

“So sorry to hear of Hal's passing. He and Glenda were so nice to us a few years back when Anne's mother, Doris Jarriel, was in assisted living and dying, inviting us to stay that week with them. We went out to eat most meals and Hal always fussed because I continually picked up the bills, he wanted some, but I insisted because he was taking care of us. Our hearts go out to Glenda, her children and grandchildren Jeff and Anne King”
