It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Jewett McKinney Sr. of Lizella, Georgia, who passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewett McKinney and Juanita McKinney; his parents-in-law, Frank and Ophelia Parks; and his cousin Mark Yarn.

He is survived by: his wife Gail McKinney (Parks); his children, Larry McKinney Jr. (Sheri) of Warner Robins and Leslie Twilley (John Sr) of Fort Valley; his close friend Dakota; his sister Renee Carroll; and his siblings-in-law, Bo Parks (Lucy) and Linda Scott. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
