He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Albert Kearbey and Elsie Marian Fletcher Kearbey; his grandson Nyckel Kearbey; and his sister Ann Dodgson. He is survived by: his wife Ann S. Kearbey; his children, Lynne Brown and Chris Kearbey (Alison); his grandchildren, David Beasley, David Kearbey, MaKayla Sanford (Timmy) and Jayden Kearbey; his great grandchild Blakelynn Sanford; and his siblings, Mary Deason, Karen Ammons, Debbie Waugh, Cindy Kelley, Steve Kearbey, Jack Kearbey and Jim Kearbey.
