He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schimdt and Agnes Schimdt (Cornwell); his brother-in-law Steve Hoveln; and his nieces, Leah Durrett and Susan Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Brandy, Chris Tullis (GA), Tanya, Lonnie Akin (AZ), Brad French (GA) and Tonya Romisher (GA); his siblings, TJ, Nancy Schmidt (FL), Marie Hoveln (CA), Allen and Cheryl Schmidt (TX); and his grandchildren, Bratley, Carcar, Gabby, Dawson, Lucas, Brett, Auni, Kyle, Cody, Tyler, Bridget, Richard and Daniel. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, GA 30052). The military honors will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
