He was predeceased by: his father Michael Joe Bates; his brother Lonnie Bates; and his grandmother Margaret Drake. He is survived by: his wife Robin Bates; his daughter Caroline Spikes (Richard); his mother Marjorie Bates (Drake); his grandsons, Travis Spikes, Cash Spikes and Luke Spikes; and his brother Lee Bates.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, GA 30052). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of TIM Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, GA 30052).
