He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hester and Mae Stephens (Smith); and his son Joel Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Stephens (Pulliam); his sons, Larry Stephens (Ann Bathke), Drew (Kim Stephens) and Brian (Anita Stephens); his grandchildren, Tony (Jenna Stephens), Noelle Stephens, Heather (Chris Childress), Monica (Michael Mitvalsky), Austin (Amalia Stephens) and Breanna Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Elliott Stephens, Maddie, Harrison Childress, Milo, Max Mitvalsky and Ivy Stephens.
