With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alan Browning of Lula, Georgia, born in Gainesville, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alan left this world on April 20, 2024 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin Browning and Dollie Greenway Browning; and his sisters, Jan Browning Miller, Beth Browning Wilson and Dixie Browning Theriault.
He is survived by : his wife Ellen Norton Browning of Lula, GA; his children, Clay Browning, Misty of Cornelia, GA, Lamont, Kelli Browning of Buford, GA, Justin and Crystal Ferguson of Cornelia, GA; his granddaughter Samantha Nell Browning (Austin Cox); his children, Jacob Ferguson, Samuel Foster and Sydney Foster; his adoptive daughter Buffy Chitwood Holcomb of Alto, GA; and his siblings, Judy Browning Turner, Eddy Browning, Roger (Dena Browning), John Browning, Daniel (Angie Browning) and Chad (Tina Browning). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel, Habersham Cemetery Email. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel, Chip Cranford Email (5495 GA-197, Clarkesville, GA 30523).
