He is survived by: his daughter Amy Turner Abernathy; his grandchildren, Ethan Abernathy (Kayla) and Kaitlyn Pashkovets (Eric); his great grandchild Cohen Abernathy; his sisters, Debbie Newberry and Linda Saxon; and his caregiver Jerry Robinson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
