He was predeceased by: his parents, Quinton Harvey and Faith Lee Burris; his former wife Betty Taylor Burris; and his siblings, Harvey Burris and Martha Kepley.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Anne Burtosh of Lula, GA; his children, Beth Hinson (Richard) of Albemarle, NC, Joy Bales (Michael) of Dacula, GA and James "Jimmy" Burris, Jr. (Melanie) of Lula, GA; and his brother David Burris of Albemarle, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; his dog and best friend.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518).
