He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Carlan and Annie Mae Carlan; and his siblings, Hoyt, Swayne, Randall, Mildred and Grace.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Fulbright Carlan; his sons, Eric (late Gena), Scott (Penny) and Blake (Chrystal); his grandchildren, Erika (Jordan), Tucker, Turner, Avery and Brentley; his great grandchild Clay; and his siblings, Gene Carlan, Thelma Brown, Evelyn Baker and Brenda Garrison.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The lying in state will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church (2405 GA-51, Lula, GA 30554). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
