He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Stapleton and Ezelle Stapleton; and his grandson Michael Stuhlman. He is survived by: his children, Connie Stuhlman and Emmett Stapleton; his grandchildren, Matthew Stuhlman, Jordyn Stapleton, Emma Stapleton and Blake Stapleton; and his sisters, Jackie Bryan and Wanda Gregory. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home (3 E Odum St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (284 Red Bird Rd, Lumber City, GA 31549).
