It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen B Horton of Lumpkin, Georgia, born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, who passed away on May 4, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Buford Baker and Ida Katherine Williams Baker; and her siblings, L. Willis, Buford Lee Baker, Roscoe Baker, Dickie Baker, Hubert Baker and Beth Collins.

She is survived by : her husband John Benjamin Horton; her brother Randy Baker of Smiths; and her children, Eddie Stipe (Gwen) of Duffield, Benjamin Horton (Kasi) of Lumpkin, Cindy Stipe Kilcrease (Steve) of Headland and Angie Stipe Emfinger (Mike) of Eufaula. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Baldwin Funeral Home (50 Charles Overby Rd, Richland, GA 31825). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In Lieu of Flowers donations are requested in Helen's memory to the John B Amos Breast Center, 1831 5th Ave, Columbus, Georgia 31904.
