Irene Bishop Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Bishop of Lyerly, Georgia, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Bishop; her parents, Bill Brooks and Eva Brooks; and her siblings, Wilene Bishop, Clyde Brooks and Howard Brooks.

She is survived by: her daughters, Joy Moseley (Doug) and Jill Pledger (Steve); her grandchildren, Amanda Long (Andy), Leslie Boston (L. J.), Zach Pledger (Brittany), Natalie Burdick (Tyler), Chris Moseley (Greta) and Jennifer Furman; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Long, Kenzleigh Long, Bella Burdick, Stevie Griffin, Silas Pledger, Abby Burdick, Rory Pledger, Asher Burdick, Bishop Burdick, Indy Pledger, Beauen Burdick, Claira Moseley, Anna Furman and Jasper Moseley; and her sister Shirley Willingham. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions be made to the Lyerly Cemetery Fund (P.O. Box 85 – Lyerly, GA 30730) in memory of Irene Bishop.
