It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Dooley of Lyerly, Georgia, born in Felton, Georgia, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Wesley "J. W." and Omer Connell Chitwood; her husband Bobby Joe Dooley; her siblings, John Arlin Chitwood, Royce Chitwood, Velma Chitwood Allen and JoAnn Chitwood; and her son-in-law Virgil Lee Hartline.

She is survived by : her daughter Judy Dooley Hartline; her sisters, Leona Shaw and Marie Gossett; her sister-in-law Linda Bailey Chitwood; and her grandchildren, JoAnna Hartline, Judson Hartline, Donna Hampton, Candy Fulmer and Randy Hartline.
