She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Henderson Stapp and Nellie Kate Fowler Stapp; and her sister Shirley Stapp. She is survived by: her husband Dr. C. Carter Black; her daughter Candi Forester (Charles); her sister Dr. Jamie Young (Joseph); and her grandchildren, Jordan Turner (Josh), Emily Burns (Randall) and Andrew Irvin. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
