She was predeceased by : her husband Levy Thompson; her parents, William Lenox Powell and Gertrude Lentile; and her brothers, Melvin Powell and Willard J. Powell.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Patterson (Don), Reid Thompson of Vidalia and Will Thompson (Sherry) of Lilburn; her grandchildren, Adrianna Pursell (Josh) of Flowery Branch, Patton Thompson (Kaysi) of Buford, Casey Thompson (Amanda) of Jacksonville, Don Patterson, Jr. (Christy) of Hazlehurst and Jonathan Patterson of Statesboro; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Joshua, Tyler, Morgan, Colton, Emma, Maggie, Carter, Presley, Kinsley, Everly, Landon and Channing; and her great great grandchildren, Luke and Brooks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
