He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claude Watson and Ethel Hollimon Pye of Lyons, Georgia.; his children, Beth, Don Brigdon (Lincolnton), Rod, Sharon Pye (Brooklet), Kay and Brian McElveen (Springfield); his grandchildren, Rebecca Brigdon, Roger, Chelsey (Pye), Boyle (Lincolnton), Josh and Caleb McElveen; his great grandchild Emmy Layne Boyle; and his sister Laura Kate Jones (Lyons). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials honoring Jack may be sent to the Bulloch County Foundation for Public School Education for the support of Julia P. Bryant Elementary School teachers and staff at 150 Williams Road, Suite A, Statesboro, GA 30458, ATTN: JPB Elementary Fund.
