He is survived by: his children, Janet Adams Barras (Kenneth), Mark Adams (Cathy) and Alan Adams (Tracy); his grandchildren, Anna Adams Groce (Daniel) of Anson John, Justin Adams (Jaclyn), Evan Adams, Lane Adams (Cheyenne) and Lauren Adams; his great grandchildren, Stephenson Groce, Adams "Addie" Faye Groce, Jovi Adams, Carter Adams, Everly Adams, John Alan Adams, Hugh Callaway Adams and Frances Cecelia Adams; his siblings-in-law, Charles Davenport (Judy) and Frances Davenport Dowdy; his siblings, Winnie Massey (J. W.), Lloyd (Fern), Ralph (Ann), Mary Nixon (Olin), William "W. P.", Hugh (Margaret), James (Vera) and Bill (Victoria); and his sons, W. P., Hugh, James and Bill. He is also survived by 80 nieces and nephews.
