It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Mason of Lyons, Georgia, born in Leesburg, Florida, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his daughter Kristen Michelle Mason; and his parents, L. B. Mason and Ellinor Plowden Mason. He is survived by : his wife Ann Mixon Mason of Lyons; his children, John "Mace" Mason, Jr. (Claudia) of Florida, Randall "Randy" Gregg Mason (Amanda) of Florida, Tonya Zimmerman (Mike Goins) and Matthew J. Hutcheson (Jessica) of Statesboro; and his pets, Bentley and Sadie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
