We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2025, at the age of 92, Johnie W. Sikes (Lyons, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Johnie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elton N. Sikes, Jr.; her parents, Leslie Poole and Burlie Rollings Poole; and her siblings, Herman Poole, Louise Wolfe, Minnie Lee Rabun, Dollie Bell Conner and Juanita McLendon.
She is survived by: her son Barry N. Sikes. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home (211 W Liberty Ave, Lyons, GA 30436). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
