He is survived by : his mother Bonnie Gibson of Lyons, Georgia; his fiancée Cheryl Hanson of Dayton, Ohio; his stepchildren, Joe Miller of Ohio, Linda Reeder of Ohio and Mary Gordon of Ohio; his brother Eric E. Gibson of Dayton, Ohio; his aunt Rebecca Hafferkamp of Montana; and his close friend Bernie Denson of Stanford, Kentucky. He is also survived by several cousins and other relatives.
