She was predeceased by : her parents, Dewey Ray Whitaker, Sr. and Faye Calhoun Whitaker Anderson; and her brother D. Ray Whitaker. She is survived by : her daughter Jennifer Thompson of Richmond County; and her sister Dr. Brenda W. Helms of Lyons. She is also survived by two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
