Richard P. Mead Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard P. Mead (Lyons, Georgia), born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Mead and Velma Lee Martin Mead; and his siblings, Louis Edward Mead, Wedis Mead Webber and Ray Mead.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel L. Mead; his sons, R. Paul Mead (Lisa) and Jon Mead (Christy Atkins); his siblings, Mary Ann Aguilar (Henry) of St. Augustine, Dessie Ann Hamm (Wayne) of Warner Robins, Charles Mead (Joyce) of Reidsville, Robert Mead (Gail) of Port Wentworth, Alvin Mead of Lyons and Allen Mead (Gloria) of Bonaire; and his grandchildren, Rachel Mead, Andrew Mead, Carolina Mead and Jonathan Mead. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
