We announce the death of Roland Williams Jr. of Lyons, Georgia, who passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 79. Roland will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Truett, Sr. and Joyce Melvina Williams; and his sister Karen Williams Brantley (Wayne). He is survived by: his wife Becky Powell Williams; his children, Adam Williams (Natalie) of Toombs County, Matt Williams of Toombs County, Jason Williams of Toombs County, Amy Williams of Toombs County and Kay English (David) of Toombs County; his brothers, Dewey Williams (Betty Dell) of Toombs County, Doug Williams (Lisa) of Toombs County and Mike Williams (Jeanie) of High Springs, Florida; his grandchildren, Chandler Sapp (Phillip), Carson Williams, Tristan English, Samuel English, Sage Powell, Seth Powell, Sophie English and Analeigh English; and his great grandchild William Henry Sapp.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home (310 North St W, Vidalia, GA 30475). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
