He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Jean Bevis Reed and Dewey Lee Reed, Sr.; his sisters, Jewel Watkins, Sarah McGaughey and Annabelle Hensley; and his grandson Matthew Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Laverne Parker Reed; and his children, Lynn Monroe (Guy), Steven Reed (Linda) and Keith Reed (Tammy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
