Shirley Brewer Griswell, born on June 26, 1936, passed away on August 22, 2026. Shirley leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Griswell; her parents, Carl Brewer and Bessie Brewer; and her siblings, Janie King and Charles Brewer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda (Jim Krieger), Georgia and Lisa (Rick Whelan); her grandchildren, Austin Whelan (Amanda), Kimberly Shurley (Ryan), Madison Fillingim (Andrew) and Dustin Whelan; and her great grandchildren, Shiloh Fillingim, Ezra Fillingim, River Fillingim, Kendry Fillingim, Finnick Fillingim, Anderson Whelan and Eli Shurley.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (5385 Church St SW, Mableton, GA 30126). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Samaritan's Purse in honor of Shirley's life and legacy.
