He is survived by: his wife Margaret Matthews; his daughter Deborah Matthews Hale; his grandchildren, Lori Lineberry (Tim), Tony Freeland (Kim), Tina Earls (Brian), JJ Reynolds (Julie), Johnny Emore, Tracey Emore (Richie) and Julie Chloupek (Bernie); and his close friend Tim Watkins. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 19 great- great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mikado Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia in his honor.
