She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert McGarrah and Frances Weaver McGarrah; her brothers, James Curtis McGarrah and Samuel Weaver McGarrah; her husband Joseph F. Barnes; and her son Joseph Franklin Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Frances Barnes (Kathy) and Cecil Albert Barnes; her granddaughters, Heather Nicole Benton (Kyle) and Alee Hannah Barnes; her daughter-in-law Brenda Barnes; her niece Christy Platt; and her great grandchild Hadley James Benton.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that you make donations to a charity of your choice. If you do not have a charity of choice, the family recommends, the American Heart Association, St. Jude Research Hospital, and the Methodist Church Home.
