She was predeceased by : her parents, Warren Lumpkin Royal and Emma Lee Pearce Royal; her former life partner Hugh Donald "Buddy" Dunn; and her sons, Carey David Dunn and Chris Gaylen Dunn.

She is survived by : her sons, C. Warren Dunn, MD (Susan) and Casey Lynn Dunn (Diana). She is also survived by daughters-in-law, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great great grandson.
