She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyette Fallin Winslett and Ernest Eugene Winslett; her husband George R. Shurley; and her siblings, Ernestine Gibson and Kenneth Winslett.
She is survived by: her children, Rob Shurley (Lynn) of Warner Robins, Rick Shurley (Missy) of Monroe, NC and Traci Humphries (Steve) of Sandersville; her grandchildren, Daniel Shurley, Lauren Shurley, Seth Shurley, Bennett Humphries, Collin Humphries (Kimberly), Ron Curenton (Melanie) and April Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Kaiden Shurley, Rylan Shurley, Emma Humphries, Logan Curenton, Alyssa Curenton, Alyson Curenton, Jasmine Ramos (Luis), Autumn Nelson and Savannah Nelson.
