She was predeceased by: her parents, Zack Pate and Ida Pate; and her siblings, Dalton Pate (Joyce), Avery Pate (Sharon), Robena "Ginny" Cannon (Junior), Marilyn Pope and Deloria Ann Denim (Neil).
She is survived by: her daughters, Jana Howells Cansler of Dalton, GA, Julie Howells Pittman (Lamar) of Fyfe, AL and Virgina "Gini" Howells of Macon, GA.; her grandchildren, John Sheffield IV, Taylor Cansler Womack (Chase), Catherine Cansler Akins (Carrington), Paten Mander, Cameron Pittman, Gracie Cansler Krajesky (Evan), Kaitlyn Pittman and Morgan Howells; and her great grandchildren, Kamilla Cowart, Wade, Ellie Womack and Ruthie Grace Akins. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, and many dear friends.
