He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Carswell and Dorothy Juanita Barfield; his wife Patricia Ann Barfield; and his siblings, Harvey Barfield, Morris Barfield and Evelyn Wyatt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Avery (Johnny) of Macon and Tammy Braswell of Pinnacle; his grandchildren, Jonathan Avery (Casey) of Macon, Brandy White (Chris) of Macon and Cheyenne Braswell of King; his great grandchildren, Lake Avery, Rylan Avery, Tifton Willis, Baxley Willis, Brynson Willis, Mayleigh White and Charlie White; and his close friend Debra Mullis of Bolingbroke, Georgia..
