She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Andrew Beard and Eva Jean Watkins; her wife Gail Walden; her children, Jeanne Clance (Jason), Wesley Messer and Dixie Messer; and her sisters, Billie Jean Hume, Sheila Beard, Maryanne Paramore, Brenda Walton (Chris), Charlene Crowe and Theresa Yancey (David). She was also cherished by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
