She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Judson Story II; her parent H. M. Cannon; and her sisters, Sue Spiess, Vivian Davis, Olya Fessard, Maxine Cannon and Rosa Mullis.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Story Bennett; her son-in-law Terry Bennett of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Hannah Bennett Stigall, Jason of Nashville and Jud Bennett (Katie Krouse) of Birmingham, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Ollie Bennett and Maeve Jane Stigall; her brother Joe Cannon; and her great grandchild Maeve Jane. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Snow's Macon Memorial Park Cemetery (3969 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
