It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Doremus of Macon, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bandy and Edwina Bandy of Isle; and her siblings, Frank H. Bandy, Jr. and Jeanne Bandy. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Allen (Matt) of Brooklet, Barbara Smith (Brenton) of Decatur, Charles Michael Smith, Jr. of Warner Robbins, Caitlin Castro (Quincy) of Chicago and Matthew Doremus (Isabelle) of Tucson; her grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, Caroline Allen, Corbin Bloom, Jordan Helmick, Harriet, Albert and Lewis Castro; her sisters, Joanne Barber (Rod) and Marie Quick (Pete); and her pets, Sophie and Gracie.
